New Off-Grid Live Chat Feature

After some hard work from our web editor, we have the new de-centralised chat feature set up on RISE NEWS.

This is an off-grid chat which is available via the menu section on here.

The chat works on desktop and phones and is a more secure place for live discussion between people, without the big social media companies hosting.

The way it works is that a chatroom starts once one person opens the page, then more users can join the room that is opened. Once everyone leaves the chat session, it automatically wipes and a new room is opened once someone else opens the chat in future.

This will be a more secure way of protecting peoples details, there isn't any login or sign up to chat and it gives you a random username each time.

It is also de-centralised.

It is a secure peer-to-peer chat that is serverless, decentralized, and ephemeral powered by Libera.Chat. You will also see a fullscreen option at the top of the chat window, which makes it easier to use on phones.
